Tibetan Photos: Barley Field in Samye Area
Ripening grains of barley in a field in the village next to Samye Monastery.

We were lucky to visit Tibet during August and early September, when the wheat and barley fields were at their most full and beautiful. As the harvest began late in our trip, we began to see farmer families working together to manually cut, dry and thrash the grains.
